Nothing beats a good fluffy bao! The perfect go to for a quick bite, these lil’ babies are so damn good that you rarely hear someone say ‘Just one, please’! I mean, do these people even exist?! Lover of Baos, it goes without saying that when Woky Ko fell under our radar we HAD to go and investigate. We nearly fainted – it was that good. Kings of Baos and everything Asian, here’s 11 reasons why Woky Ko will blow you away!

1. The Salted Caramel & Coconut Ice Cream Bao Bao

Coconut ice cream and salted caramel between two halves of house-made sweet bao dough! Grab a napkin mind 😉

2. Their Braised Pork Bao with Hoi Sin Ketchup, Apple Salad, and Toasted Sesame Seeds

Ain’t that a nice combo?

3. This Ox Cheek Bao

Who's up for a @wokyko ox cheek bao eating competition? I reckon I could do 15. #beef #bristol #meltinyourmouth

4. Their Salt & Pepper Squid with Lemon Aioli

Perhaps the best salt and pepper squid we’ve ever tasted, this dish is without a doubt, foodie heaven! Pair that up with their incredible lemon aioli and you’re pretty much on whatever happens after heaven…

5. Their Korean Fried Chicken Bao

*Swoons*

6. The Duck Bao

OMG

7. Their Parasols – Instagram Worthy!

Believe it or not, this restaurant is inside a shipping container 🎏🎎

There’s something really calming about a ceiling covered in beautiful paper parasols… well, we think so!

8. Woky Ko to Go Please!

In a rush? They’ve got you covered! You can get Woky Ko to go. We highly recommend paying their neighbours Corks of Cargo, Wild Beer, and the Bristol Cider Shop a visit and grab a refreshing beverage on the way!

9. Vegan and Veggie Options (We recommend the Edamame & Pumpkin Seed Yaki Soba Noodles)

The menu features Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly dishes such as aubergine and kimchi bao, vermicelli, and Cheung Fun (which is a south Chinese rice noodle roll). Pretty tasty am I right?

10. That Sea Bass Tartare

It’s a thing of beauty to look at and to taste. This soft sushi-grade fish makes awesome ceviche with a tangy fresh lime and chili dressing. Topped with red onion and coriander shoots, it’s a total winner!

 11. Larkin Cen

The man behind the shipping container dream. Sometimes you’ll catch him serving tables, often behind the bao steamer, or at the woks! Usually drinking coffee from Little Victories, he’s always happy to chat about MasterChef! #dreamy
