Being a foodie on a coeliac diet can be tricky when it comes to choosing where to go out for food! Plentifully loved, gluten is more often than not indigestible for many. Heck, we probably shouldn’t eat the amount we do on a daily basis. But for some of us, indulging in the tiniest bit of gluten can lead to a rather unpleasant experience. A coeliac diet shouldn’t discourage you from experiencing the foodie world! Many venues now cater for various diets, it’s just a case of knowing where to look. So, I’ve decided to compile a handy list for all you gluten free foodies! Here are just some of the best GF dishes I’ve had in Bristol and hope you’ll enjoy them too.

I’d recommend their Vietnamese salad: Gỏi gà. It’s shredded chicken with Asian herbs, peppers & a chilli ginger dressing. Also really tasty are their fresh rice paper summer rolls (Gỏi cuốn). PS: all their noodles are GF!
THE CRAFTY EGG
The Afghan eggs are to die for! However, all of their baked crafty eggs are totally delicious! They’re served in a pan and with a GF bread option.
One of the best places to go for Indian food, the Lucknowi Lamb and the Goan Fish Thalis are the ones! Served with dal, vegetable subji, yoghurt, fresh crunchy salad and basmati rice, you can request how spicy you like it! True GF heaven.
Two poached eggs on bubble and squeak with grilled tomatoes! You can also add bacon, sausage, or salmon. Feeling a bit more adventurous? Try their crispy coconut pancakes! They’re Vietnamese-style filled with fresh white crab, sea-spiced aubergine and chilli served with crunchy gem salad, light soy dressing and chargrilled lime. Perfect for Brunch!
They’re THE best at vegetarian food and they also serve some of the greatest gluten-free dishes I’ve had. Check out their latest creation… SO good.
COX & BALONEY
They do gluten free scones! Served up the traditional way with clotted cream and delicious jam. (Btw, they’re also hosting a gin & cheese pairing night)
They’ve got TONS of GF options. A Foozie favourite is their Yellowfin Tuna Tartare. Served with pickled ginger, sesame, lime and chilli oil, you are in for a treat!
Their Bibimbaps are all gluten-free, healthy, fresh, and super tasty! Why not give the beef bibimbap a go? It’s served with beef brisket, fried egg, bean sprouts, green pepper, sweetcorn, cucumber, carrot and radish.
Globe artichoke, broad bean, pea & mint… NOMMM! Tons more options to discover!
Their lemon drizzle cake is 10/10.
