Award-winning restaurant, the Ethicurean is heading to London THIS Saturday! An all-time favourite of ours, it’s no surprise that the restaurant has made it to the big city.
Featured in Channel 4’s TV Show ‘Hidden Restaurants’ they’ve now been recruited by John Lewis to take over their roof-top terrace on Oxford Street with a seasonal pop-up. Part of John Lewis’ Gardening Society, the pop-up aims to transport visitors to a ‘setting reminiscent of a yuletide village green’.
Finally, it is time. After about 3 months keeping quiet about this, The Ethicurean family are beyond excited to announce that, as of this Saturday 21st October, we will be open on the busiest street in the UK. Our new home until Christmas Eve shall be on the rooftop of @johnlewisretail, Oxford Street. We shall be bringing our famous Welsh Rarebit, and our legendary sticky toffee apple cake (to name but a few) to the big smoke. Bookings shall be open very soon indeed, with more details to follow. Looking forward to welcoming so many of you for a taste of the West. #theethicurean #johnlewis #rooftoprestaurant
The Ethicurean will be in good company. Taking residency on the rooftop will also be the Gardener’s Arms Pub.
@pipersfarm duck, fermented beetroot & parsley. As the seasons change, so too does our larder. We crave heartier meals and richer foods. We're approaching our favourite time of year at the restaurant. Autumn is bountiful and diverse. All of our restaurant family are getting out and foraging, bringing back wild delights. We shall soon be launching a new menu format to take us into autumn and through winter, and our Christmas menu is very nearly due to be launched and open for bookings. As always, we shall be celebrating the incredible produce we have on our doorstep. In addition, we will also be working on our interior design to ensure that your visit to us is exactly what you want in winter; warm, snug, cosy, relaxed and comfortable. The log burners are ready for their first autumnal fires and we're really excited to be welcoming so many of you. We currently have availability for weekdays and evenings, so come and pay us a visit. #theethicurean
Owners and chefs of the Ethicurean, Ian and Matthew Pennington stated that:
“We are really excited to launch our new exclusive menu at The Gardening Society this winter. We will be bringing a few of our favourite dishes from Bristol to London for the first time, including some iconic and hearty British classics which have been given a special Ethicurean twist.”
What’s more, they’ll be bringing their famous sticky toffee apple cake to the big city! We can’t wait.
