We’ve got some BIG news to share with you guys! Ever heard of Events in the Sky? If you haven’t… brace yourselves! Proudly announcing their arrival in Bristol, 2017 is starting to look like one hell of a culinary extravaganza. Following its huge success in London since 2014, the New Year sees Events in the Sky visit five UK cities… and we’re one of the lucky! Offering the public a once in a lifetime opportunity to dine in the sky, we literally can’t wait for this!
What’s more, the events will see our local restaurants take their cooking to the unique sky table… suspended 100 feet in the air by a mobile crane. The table? A 22 seater with the pop-up kitchen at its centre. With the head chef, sommelier, and waiting team at your service does it get any better than this? But what about safety did you ask? Fear not – they’ve got it all under control. You’ll be securely fastened to your seat before the table is raised 100 feet.
The restaurant will run from the 7th to 10th September 2017 and set to take place at the Waterfront Square. With 9 sittings per day, there’s something for everyone! Guests will have the choice of breakfast (£50), lunch (£125), dinner (£150), afternoon drinks (£75) and evening drinks (£75).
So, who will be serving up food at this incredible four-day festival? Well, you’ll have to wait till February ’17 to find out the full line-up. Till then, …
Harvey Nichols’ Executive Chef, Louise McCrimmon, winner of top honours over the years (including Chef of the Year from the Bristol Good Food Awards and 2 coveted AA Rosettes) will be serving her signature dishes at the Events in the Sky.
Dale Agar of Events in the Sky says of the event: ‘With the success of London in the Sky, we’re looking forward to visiting Bristol. 2017 will see us recreate this event with some of the best chefs and restaurants in Bristol. Guests will enjoy a breathtaking dining experience with spectacular views of Bristol Harbour.’
In addition to Bristol, events will be hosted in Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Southampton during the summer of 2017.
