Big and exciting news this morning from the team behind Bravas and Cargo Cantina – they are taking over the space in Stokes Croft previously occupied by MeatLiquor and have plans to transform it into a new bar, pop-up market and events space.
We think this is a fantastic idea and something that is currently missing within Bristol. If you have ever visited Dinerama in London, you’ll know that these street food markets are a great place to visit, with a buzzing atmosphere, music and a great selection of food.
‘Corner 77’ will hopefully be opening at the end of April, but this is just the first stage of the development. Owners Imogen and Kieran also want to open a Mexican inspired taco bar and restaurant in time and also host pop-ups and supperclubs within the versatile site.
The night food markets are set to run weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and will be a great opportunity to showcase Bristol’s thriving street food scene. It’s also going to bring a really exciting venue to the city, perfect for visiting on a Friday night after work, with a group of friends over the weekend or just to pop along to for some pre or post dinner drinks.
We cannot wait for this!
