Who else pretends to be an adult in life, until a crisis happens (big or small) and they still have to call up their mum for reassurance, help or just a moan? Surely it’s not just me?!

This year Mother’s Day falls on Sunday 11th March, and with the weather finally taking a turn into Spring, there’s no better time to show her just how special she is. So, if you want to spoil mum rotten to the degree they deserve for putting up with us, here is a little inspiration of some of things going on in Bristol:

Spanish Sunday Bottomless Brunch at Pata Negra

Address: 30 Clare Street, Bristol BS1

Get boozy with bottomless brunch at Pata Negra. Celebrate in true Spanish style with a long and leisurely brunch of a scrumptious Spanish set menu full of tapas dishes and bottomless Cava. The vibe is relaxed and casual, and Mum will love this different take on brunch. Book your place by visiting the Pata Negra website and if you want any inspiration, take a look at our recent review here.

Foozie’s Ab Fab Mother’s Day Rooftop Brunch Party

Don your glitziest outfit at our Absolutely Fabulous rooftop brunch party. A chance for your mum to embrace her inner Patsy and enjoy hours of delightful canapes, tons of fizz, a photo wall, Ab Fab fancy dress and the ultimate 90s DJ and party playlist. It’s going to be fun and fab, sweetie dahling!

Explore with Winter Kitchen at We the Curious

Address: Anchor Road, Harbourside, BS1

Get creative and explore the science behind warming winter treats. Both Mum’s and kids can get involved in creating their own exquisite spice mix, learn about the process of creating sunflower oil and make their own flatbreads. Perfect for some bonding time over delicious treats.

Quaint afternoon tea and teapot cocktails at Cox and Baloney

Address: 182-184 Cheltenham Road, Bristol BS6

Not only is Cox and Baloney just the dreamiest tearoom and provides the perfect special setting, they also serve cocktails in teapots made with their own special tea infused syrups. Delicious! The perfect accompaniment to their gorgeous afternoon tea, served on beautiful china. They have recently introduced a bottomless prosecco afternoon tea as well, served with a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and cake. You and all the amazing mum’s in your life can have a blissful afternoon of goodies!

A special three course menu at The Botanist

Address: 20 Berkeley Square, Bristol BS8

The Botanist have created a rather fabulous sounding three course menu for the food loving mummies out there; including a traditional roast dinner (although no roast dinner tastes as good as your mum’s, this is the day to give her a break). A selection of starters and desserts is also available and the white chocolate and pistachio bomb sounds particularly lush to us.

Indulge in some R&R at the Lido

Address: Oakfield Place, Clifton, BS8

The ultimate Bristol location for feeling absolutely spoilt. This stylish urban oasis tucked away in Clifton offers everything you need to make your mum feel perfectly pampered. Pick from one of their eat and swim, or treatment packages. It’s also an excuse to go along and get pampered yourself.

A Tavola pop-up at The Forge

Address: Colston Yard, Bristol BS1

If you have never heard of, or tried the sumptuous food from the A Tavola duo, then this event is the perfect place to start and be amazed. There are three opportunities to try the delicious food from the A Tavola team (12.30pm, 3.30pm and 6.30pm) at the stunning venue of The Forge.
