Our favourite bao kings at WokyKo have just announced that the fun and fabulous Woky Fest, which falls over Chinese New Year, is to return on February 16th in the evening.
This exciting event see’s the Cargo development celebrate the Year of the Dog with Squeezed, Pickled Brisket, Box-E, Bertha’s, Salt and Malt and Root all putting Asian inspired dishes on their menu for that week.
On Friday 16th, WokyKo will be setting up a street food stall outside of the restaurant, which will be selling delicious fried chicken baos, milkshakes and handing out the coveted red envelopes of fortune.
The Wapping Wharf area is a regular hang out for pups and their owners so as this is the Chinese New Year of the Dog, there will naturally be a Woky Fest Best Dog competition. We want to see your hounds enjoying themselves at Woky Fest so just post a picture on Instagram using #WokyFest and pup owner and chef Larkin Cen will choose Woky Ko’s favourite hound to win a dog treat and two takeaway Bao for their owner.
As of last year, you can expect a fun atmosphere, with some music and fantastic food. The University of Bristol Lion Dance troupe will also be performing on Saturday 17th at 5.30pm.
