We’ve long harboured a soft spot for Japanese food geniuses Tsukemono. We crowned them Bristol’s Best Pop-Up as part of our Foozie awards last year, because we just love what they do.
Specialising in making Japanese soul food more accessible, Iris and Adam noticed that no one in Bristol was offering the delights they’d sampled on many of their travels, so decided to start making it themselves.
After hugely successful pop-ups in Bristol’s Volunteer Tavern, The Robin Hood and most recently Bristol Spirit – Tsukemono are concentrating on being mobile throughout the summer, so look out for them a various locations! However, for now we just have to give you these 5 reasons as to why we heart them so much…
1. Kakuni (braised pork belly)
2. Okonomiyaki (savoury pancakes!)
3. Kara-Age (bad ass fried chicken)
4. Japanese Pickles
5. ALL OF THIS. The Whole Menu!
