Whilst these top 5 lists are not in any particular order, these alfresco spots are some firm favourites of Foozie and we think them deserving of a shout out! If you are looking for inspiration for your next meal out in the nice weather then have a scroll…

Mud Dock

Address: 40 The Grove, Bristol BS1

With it’s  cracking harbourside location, both near the stretch of bars and restaurants near the Watershed and a stone’s throw from the Arnolfini and Wapping Wharf is Mud Dock. The terrace here has glorious views when the sun shines but is also a great sun trap as the sun soaks onto this spot all day long. Enjoy a nice cold pint or cocktail whilst taking your pick from a locally sourced, semi-healthy menu.

Broken Dock

Address: Millennium Promenade, Bristol BS1

If there was ever a venue for being outside, it’s Broken Dock. This suntrap lies away from the hustle and bustle a little but still in a gorgeous location with stunning views over the water and towards the SS Great Britain. Their gin selection served in goblets with unique garnishings is a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon and if there aren’t any tables left outside do not fret, as they can serve your drink to you in a plastic cup to enjoy on the wall.

Address: Podium Level, Colston Tower BS1

During the summertime, Bambalan’s sprawling terrace is the place to be on a hot summers day or evening straight from work. This city centre gem offers the chance to sit in the sun comfortably whilst being smack bang in the thick of it all, whilst their cocktail deals (hello happy hour), frose (yes that’s frozen rose) and white sangria are worth the trip to the terrace alone.
