If you want to pull out all of the stops, then it has to be Casamia. This restaurant was recently ranked as the second best in the U.K, with head chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias scooping the best chef in Britain too, making it pretty impressive. The 9 course tasting menu will take you on an unforgettable food journey lasting 3.5 wonderful hours set in Casamia’s minimalist and modern restaurant. Booking can be made online and we’d highly recommend Casamia for a special occasion.

Forming part of the Chandos Road elite is Wilks. This vibrant restaurants focuses on using fresh, seasonal ingredients in inventive ways whilst still letting the quality and flavour shine through in the dish. They have a number of tasting menu options available dependent on when you visit with a stonking wine list to match for if you are enjoying a few drinks too.

Small, but perfectly formed, Box-E offers a truly unique dining experience. Situated in one of the crates at Wapping Wharf, this tiny box (literally) restaurant see’s head chef Elliott Lidstone create culinary delights in his small open kitchen which overlooks every diner. The menu is a seasonal delight, with Elliott also whipping up some experimental creations. The kitchen table is a real treat, upon which you can sit next to Elliott and watch him cook and serve up with ease, he might even throw some extras in for you! You must also order the pannacotta, life will never be the same again afterwards.

Simple, unfussy and seriously amazing food is what you can expect when visiting Wilsons. Another Chandos Road resident, head chef Jan and his team work their magic in the kitchen using fresh foraged produce, most of it coming from Jan’s plot of land just outside of the city. He shoots his own game, beef and poultry and also grows vegetables and herbs on his piece of land. The simple layout of the restaurant itself allows for a relaxed environment which really lets the dishes speak for themselves.

Also forming up part of Cargo’s independent businesses is Tare, a 20 seater restaurant specialising in cooking delicious food and making the most of the produce on Bristol’s doorstep. Choose from an Al A Carte menu or a 6 course tasting menu, which offer incredible value for fantastic food.
