It’s the exciting news we’ve been waiting for and now we can reveal that the brand new, second site for Woky Ko is set to open tomorrow at 5.30pm!
Woky Ko: Kauto (named after a champion racehorse) will open on Queen’s Road (the top of Park Street) and although it will be much bigger than it’s predeccessor Cargo shipping container restaurant, it promises to keep some of the originality of it whilst adding some new and exciting additions.
As well as much more space, (Kauto has both upstairs and downstairs dining areas) there is also table top dining which looks onto the chefs in the open kitchen, and window seating with lovely views of the Wills Memorial Building.
You can still expect to find delicious classics such as the baos and noodles that Woky Ko has become famous for – however there will also be ramen dishes appearing on the menu at Kauto and regularly changing specials due to them having more room to experiment in the kitchen here.
Cocktails are also going to be available, with the site having created their own special Gin with Bristol distillery Pyschopomp.
The restaurant will be running an initial two week ‘launch’ period, whereupon which the downstairs dining area will be open, and a special menu will be in place. Diners can enjoy drinks upstairs whilst they wait, and more plates will be added to the menu once the restaurant opens officially after the first two weeks.
We are huge fans of Woky Ko (check out the reasons why we love them here) and cannot wait to check out their new space! And if course, scoff some baos.
